Our client in NY is seeking a Sr. Cloud Database Architect/Engineer for a direct hire opportunity! 100% Remote.

**W2 salary only. No C2C or third-parties**

The Database Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Oracle and SQL database solutions to meet organizational requirements, ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect secure and cost-effective database infrastructures, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices to drive innovation and support business objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a deep understanding of database design principles, automation frameworks, and cloud-native architectures across database and Cloud platforms


  • Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience in architecting, implementing, and managing Cloud-native database solutions, e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Autonomous Data Warehouse, including deployment, configuration, and optimization.
  • Ten years combined experience in Database Architect, Database Administrator, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
  • Expertise with database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
  • Experience implementing security controls and best practices for database environments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data security and privacy.
  • Strong understanding of encryption technologies, access controls, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline; Masters degree preferred.
  • 8 years minimum experience (higher preferred), 12 years of related experience, including a demonstrated ability in technology area. In-depth knowledge of associated technology areas that could impact area of responsibility; healthcare technology experience preferred.
