Job Summary:
Consultant Advisor - Oracle Health Julie Easley is recruiting this position.
Our East Coast client is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor with a CCS Certification for a 12 month plus extension fully remote contract.
Coding Auditor Requirements
- Must have 5 years experience as an Outpatient Coding Auditor
- CCS or CPC Certification is required (non-negotiable)
- Must have experience with OPPS guidelines (Outpatient Prospective Payments Systems)
- Will be required to take a Coding Auditor Assessment
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of ED, ED-Observation, and Ambulatory Surgery accounts to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Identify discrepancies and areas of improvement in billing and coding processes
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and management to implement corrective action plans.
- Provide training and education to coding staff to improve accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
- Review medical records and audit for accuracy of codes (diagnoses and procedures).
