Our Healthcare client is seeking a PMO Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a Project Management Office (PMO) within a hospital setting. This role is responsible for managing the intake process and ensuring consistency and quality across project governance functions, including PMO methodologies, templates, reporting, auditing, and training.

Candidates must reside in Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, or Alabama to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the PMO Operations team (4–5 staff members)
• Oversee project intake processes to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce PMO methodologies, standards, and templates.
• Manage PMO reporting and metrics to support transparency and accountability.
• Coordinate and perform internal audits of project processes for compliance and effectiveness.
• Oversee PMO-related training programs and onboarding of new project staff.
• Collaborate with project managers, leadership, and stakeholders to support successful project execution.
• Ensure continuous improvement of PMO operations to meet the evolving needs of the organization. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in PMO or project operations within a healthcare or hospital environment
• 2+ years of leadership or people management experience
• Strong understanding of project management frameworks (e.g., PMI, Agile, hybrid)
• Experience working with Epic EHR systems strongly preferred.
• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or similar)
• PMP preferred
