Our Healthcare client in Valhalla, NY is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations. 

Contract: This is a 3-month contract to cover someone on FMLA. 

ONSITE schedule: Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 4 years of managerial experience in payroll
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience with automated staff scheduling and timekeeping systems
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
• Desired system knowledge: Paragon 

Job Summary: Oversee the performance of the payroll in processing of all payroll responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Processes the payroll
• Oversees the day to day administrative process relating to payroll, and interacts with payroll managers across network for streamlining of processes
• Complete retroactive payroll adjustments as necessary
• Interact with department managers in relation to payroll related issues.
• Ensures compliance with garnishment, tax changes, and tax compliance as well as federal and state laws
• Acts independently and in conjunction with the Finance Staff and Network Director of Payroll
• Implements improved automation to maximize payroll productivity and quality, conducting special studies or tasks as required
• Works with the Human Resources Department and Benefits to integrate data to ensure best overall organizational practices
• Assists with internal and external audit data requests
• Assists with annual budget process relating to payroll
• Other duties as assigned.

Other: experience processing payroll on Paragon. Knowledge of UKG a plus.
