Healthcare IT Leaders (HIT) is seeking an Epic Beaker CP Consultant to support precision medicine laboratory operations for a leading healthcare organization.

This is a 6-month contract position (with possible 3-month extension) starting January 1st, 2025, working fully remote on EST business hours. The successful candidate will backfill a promoted team member and focus on ongoing support and optimization of Beaker Clinical Pathology systems, laboratory workflows, and genetics vendor integrations. This role requires jumping in immediately to support day-to-day operations including send-out laboratory processes with multiple genetics vendors, providing expert guidance to other analysts, and addressing various Beaker-related items across microbiology, cortap, phlebotomy, and other laboratory disciplines. The ideal candidate will serve as a precision medicine Beaker expert and catch-all resource for ongoing upkeep and optimization needs.

Requirements

  • Active Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP) certification required
  • Availability to start January 1st, 2025 (or sooner)
  • Proven experience with Epic Beaker laboratory systems and workflows
  • Strong expertise in precision medicine and genetics laboratory operations
  • Experience with laboratory vendor integrations and send-out laboratory processes
  • Knowledge of microbiology, phlebotomy, and anatomic pathology workflows within Epic Beaker
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to other analysts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address ad-hoc system issues
  • Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time business hours
  • Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration
