Healthcare IT Leaders is seeking an experienced Lead ERP Finance Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity to support a major Workday Financials implementation at a leading healthcare organization transitioning from legacy ERP systems.

Job Summary

This is a strategic leadership role requiring a seasoned Workday Financials expert who will serve as the lead technical consultant during a critical ERP transformation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday Financials modules, including Payroll, Financial Accounting, and Accounts Payable, and will be responsible for system configuration, integration oversight, and stakeholder management. This 3-month contract position (March - June 2026) offers conversion to a full-time employee role for the right candidate. The position is remote (Eastern/New England time zone preferred) with occasional onsite meetings requiring self-funded travel 3-4 times per year.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience implementing and configuring Workday Financials modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Asset Management, and Grants)
  • Proven experience as a Technical Finance Analyst in a healthcare or hospital system environment
  • Hands-on experience with ERP system transitions, preferably from PeopleSoft to Workday
  • Expertise in Workday Payroll builds, Financial Accounting configurations, and AP module implementation
  • Strong technical skills in Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, and middleware platforms
  • Experience with Workday Reporting and Prism Analytics for enterprise reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead system upgrades, regression testing, and Workday release cycle management
  • Advanced knowledge of security frameworks, role-based access models, and audit controls within Workday
  • Proven leadership experience mentoring analysts and establishing technical standards and best practices
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to drive consensus among Finance, Compliance, IT, and executive stakeholders
  • Experience developing strategic documentation, governance standards, and executive-level project proposals
  • Must be career-focused and open to converting to full-time employment after the 3-month contract period
  • Must be available to start on or around March 1, 2026
  • Must reside in an approved state (California residents cannot be considered)
  • Must be willing to self-fund travel expenses for onsite meetings
