Our healthcare client on the West Coast is seeking an experienced Workday HCM Project Manager to support their implementation. The organization recently went live on Workday Financials and is now preparing to deploy HCM. This contract position would begin in April 2026.

This role will serve as the internal Workday HCM PM representing the client, partnering closely with the System Integrator (SI). The ideal candidate will act as a translator between business stakeholders and the SI, ensuring alignment, accountability, and successful delivery.

The organization has approximately 1,000 employees and is replacing its current ADP platform with Workday.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal Workday HCM Project Manager representing the client
• Partner with the System Integrator to drive project execution and timeline adherence
• Translate technical Workday HCM concepts into clear business language for executive and operational stakeholders
• Support governance structure development alongside executive leadership
• Oversee project plan, milestones, risks, and issue management
• Ensure cross-functional alignment across HR, Payroll, Finance, and operational teams
• Prepare the organization for full replacement of ADP with Workday HCM
• Drive readiness activities leading up to go-live
• Provide regular status reporting to executive leadership

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Workday HCM Project Manager on at least one full lifecycle implementation
• Strong understanding of Workday HCM functional areas
• Experience managing vendor/System Integrator relationships
• Ability to operate at both executive and functional levels
• Strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication skills
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
• Experience supporting organizations of ~1,000+ employees preferred
