Senior HL7 Data Integration Engineer (Direct Hire)

100% Remote – EST Hours

Overview

We are seeking a Senior HL7 Data Integration Engineer to design, build, and support healthcare data integrations across enterprise platforms. This role focuses on HL7 interface development, system integration, and data transformation using the Cloverleaf Interface Engine.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in healthcare interoperability, hands-on interface development, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to deliver scalable, high-quality integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain HL7 interfaces using Cloverleaf Interface Engine
• Build and support integrations across healthcare systems, including revenue cycle platforms
• Develop APIs and integration solutions using .NET technologies
• Perform data ingestion, transformation, validation, and troubleshooting
• Document integration workflows, data mappings, and technical specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business and technical requirements
• Support testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of integration solutions
• Manage multiple integration projects in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing healthcare system interfaces
• Strong hands-on experience with Cloverleaf Interface Engine
• Deep knowledge of healthcare data standards: HL7 v2/v3, X12, FHIR, JSON
• Experience with API development and integration using .NET
• Solid understanding of system integration architecture and data workflows
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloverleaf Certification (Level 2+ preferred)
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux, TCL, Java, and SQL
• Experience with database management systems (DBMS)
• Background in data profiling, transformation, and validation
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
