Our California healthcare client is seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst III to support core accounting operations and ERP implementation efforts. This role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with data validation, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration in a high-volume environment. This 100% remote role has an initial duration of 1+ year; however our client requires this person to be located in the Sacramento/Bay area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems
• Support ERP implementation activities, including testing and data validation
• Analyze financial data, investigate discrepancies, and ensure GAAP compliance
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve reporting and processes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large datasets
• Experience in high-volume, complex accounting environments
• ERP system experience, including system transitions and data validation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Workday Financials
• Background in fixed assets and PPE accounting
• Experience with data cleansing and large-scale validation initiatives
• Involvement in ERP implementations and cross-functional testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
