We are seeking a strategic and driven Assistant Director to support departmental leadership in managing operations, developing programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role acts as a key advisor, ensuring efficient execution of administrative functions while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.

• This role is located in Brooklyn, NY. Must be able to work onsite.
• 6-month Contract-to-hire opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a consultant to leadership on departmental operations, programs, and strategic initiatives for a hospital facility.
• Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of new programs, systems, and procedures
• Lead and contribute to special projects, including planning, execution, and performance tracking
• Conduct research and data analysis to provide actionable insights and recommendations
• Monitor departmental budgets, expenses, and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance by reviewing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and solve operational challenges
• Represent leadership in meetings, committees, and workgroups
• Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate staff and project teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Public Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in program management, operations, or administrative leadership
• Previous Healthcare experience desired
• Prior supervisory or managerial experience required
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
