Job Summary

As a Cerner Supply Chain Contract Consultant, you will partner with healthcare clients to analyze their current inventory workflows, design future-state processes, and configure Cerner Millennium Supply Chain modules. You will ensure that system implementation meets operational deadlines, adheres to hospital mandates, and optimizes inventory levels. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • System Configuration & Implementation: Build, customize, and test Cerner Supply Chain modules, including Item Master maintenance, Inventory Management, and Procurement.
  • Workflow Optimization: Analyze current client workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements for better inventory control, purchasing, and vendor management.
  • Contract Lifecycle Support: Manage master services agreements, statements of work (SOWs), and vendor renewals.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Create and analyze reports on supply chain key performance indicators (KPIs), vendor spend, and material utilization.
  • Client Training & Support: Conduct training for end-users, facilitate client-facing presentations, and provide troubleshooting support post-implementation.
  • Collaboration: Act as a liaison between hospital clinicians, purchasing departments, and IT staff to align system technology with business outcomes. 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 2–5+ years of experience in healthcare supply chain management or healthcare IT consulting.
  • Cerner Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Oracle Health/Cerner Millennium Supply Chain modules.
  • Healthcare Knowledge: Strong understanding of clinical supplies, inventory Control, and procurement processes in hospitals.
  • 'Item Synch Interface' experience is required.
