Our West Coast healthcare client is seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst III to support operational accounting functions across a complex, multi-entity healthcare organization. This senior-level role focuses on day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, and month-end close activities, while also supporting the organization’s Workday ERP transition. This 100% remote role has an initial duration of 18+ months.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries including accruals, prepaids, intercompany, and fixed asset entries
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
• Research accounting discrepancies, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions
• Support fixed assets, banking reconciliations, project accounting, and property accounting activities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and reporting requirements
• Assist with Workday ERP testing, validation, and process improvements while maintaining operational close responsibilities
• Collaborate with finance, reimbursement, and ERP teams on reporting and process alignment
• Review work completed by junior staff and provide accounting guidance as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of recent operational accounting experience in large or complex organizations
• Strong technical accounting and GAAP knowledge
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Advanced Excel skills required; Workday ERP experience strongly preferred
• Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required
