Dental EHR Project Manager/Selection Consultant

Healthcare IT Leaders is seeking a Dental EHR PM with experience across dental and orthodontic workflows, requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, system selection, stakeholder engagement, and implementation planning for an immediate consulting opportunity with a health system.

Responsibilities

• The consultant will work closely with dental, orthodontic, clinical, IT, imaging, revenue cycle, operational, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong Dental EHR experience required
• Experience supporting dental and orthodontic practices within a health system environment
• Prior experience leading requirements gathering for Dental EHR replacement, selection, or implementation initiatives
• Experience assessing current state dental and orthodontic workflows and defining future state requirements
• Ability to facilitate stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, workflow reviews, and vendor evaluation meetings
• Experience developing functional, technical, operational, imaging, reporting, revenue cycle, and integration requirements
• Experience evaluating Dental EHR vendors and supporting RFI, RFP, scoring, demos, and selection recommendations
• Strong understanding of dental imaging workflows and integration with image storage or imaging platforms
• Experience with Dentrix, DEXIS, or comparable dental EHR and dental imaging systems preferred
• Ability to assess vendor capabilities around interoperability, enterprise integration, billing, clinical usability, reporting, scalability, and long term support
• Experience working with health system IT, infrastructure, integration, security, revenue cycle, and clinical leadership teams
• Strong understanding of HL7, FHIR APIs, interfaces, and enterprise healthcare integration considerations
• Experience preparing executive level findings, decision support materials, and vendor recommendations
• Ability to support implementation planning after vendor selection, including timeline, resource, workflow, and integration planning
• Experience leading or advising on Dental EHR implementations strongly preferred
• Remote with potential onsite travel as needed
• Start date is ASAP
