Our healthcare client in Indiana is looking for a Health Information Exchange (HIE) Business Analyst for a 6 month contract + potential extensions. This opportunity is fully remote!

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and analyze legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to HIE operations and data exchange
• Collaborate with General Counsel, compliance teams, architects, and infrastructure stakeholders to define business and technical requirements
• Translate policy and regulatory guidance into functional specifications and infrastructure design requirements
• Support discovery, analysis, and design activities for HIE infrastructure modernization efforts
• Facilitate communication between business, legal, operational, and technical teams
• Document workflows, business processes, use cases, and requirements
• Identify impacts to data sharing, interoperability, consent management, and governance frameworks
• Provide expertise around healthcare data exchange standards and HIE operational models

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience working within Health Information Exchange (HIE) environments
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within healthcare IT or interoperability initiatives
• Strong understanding of healthcare data exchange, interoperability, and health information governance
• Experience translating regulatory or policy requirements into business and technical specifications
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, compliance, business, and technical teams
• Strong documentation, requirements gathering, and analytical skills
• W2 contractors only

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of 42 CFR Part 2 regulations and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) data handling requirements
