Data Center Technician II
Location: Irving, TX – 100% On-site
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Position Summary
The Data Center Technician II is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and decommissioning of physical server infrastructure. This role supports the day to day operations of the data center environment and requires hands on experience with enterprise hardware, cabling, and server technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and decommission physical servers
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting on server infrastructure
- Support physical networking and cabling activities
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure related issues
- Assist with system upgrades, deployments, and maintenance activities
- Follow operational and change management procedures
- Support data center projects and operational initiatives
Preferred Background
- 1 to 3+ years of infrastructure or server support experience
- Experience working with enterprise servers and data center environments
- Basic networking and cabling knowledge
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments
- Experience performing hardware installations and troubleshooting
Ideal Candidate
- Troubleshooting skills
- Hands on technical experience
- Comfortable working in physical data center environments
- Server focused background preferred over desktop support experience
