Overview: Our healthcare client on the East Coast is seeking an experienced Workday Technical Program Manager to support a large-scale PeopleSoft to Workday transformation. This individual will serve as the technology lead for the ERP program, owning the end-to-end delivery of the technical workstream, including integrations, data conversion, third-party applications, and boundary systems.
The ideal candidate brings a strong ERP program management background, extensive Workday implementation experience, and a proven ability to lead complex technology initiatives within highly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technology tower for the PeopleSoft to Workday implementation, ensuring successful delivery of all technical components.
- Own end-to-end planning, execution, and governance of:
- Workday integrations
- Data conversion and migration activities
- Third-party and boundary system implementations
- Technical dependencies across the ERP ecosystem
- Partner closely with business, functional, technical, and vendor teams to drive program success.
- Manage project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Establish and maintain strong program governance and reporting structures.
- Coordinate technical testing, cutover planning, deployment readiness, and go-live activities.
- Drive issue resolution and escalation management across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure alignment between technical deliverables and overall ERP program objectives.
- Provide executive-level status reporting and communication to program leadership and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of ERP program and project delivery experience.
- Experience serving as a Program Manager or Technical Program Manager for large-scale ERP implementations.
- Minimum of two full-cycle Workday implementation engagements.
- Strong understanding of:
- Workday integrations
- Data migration and conversion strategies
- Third-party application interfaces
- Enterprise system architecture
- Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional teams and vendor relationships.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments, such as healthcare, life sciences, financial services, or similar industries.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience leading technical workstreams for a PeopleSoft to Workday migration.
- Healthcare industry experience, preferably within a large health system or academic medical center.
- Familiarity with Workday deployment methodologies and implementation best practices.
- Experience managing multiple vendors and system integrators in a large ERP program environment.
Job Details
- 12 + month contract engagement.
- Approximately 25% onsite for key project milestones, planning sessions, workshops, and critical delivery events.
- Remote flexibility outside of required onsite activities.
