We are seeking an experienced Meditech Payroll Specialist Consultant to provide interim operational support for a healthcare client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Meditech Payroll, as this is a required skill, along with experience using UKG for timekeeping and attendance. This is a highly operational role focused on payroll execution rather than implementation or project work.

Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly payroll accurately and on schedule using Meditech Payroll.
  • Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage day-to-day payroll operations, including payroll adjustments, corrections, and employee inquiries.
  • Process time and attendance data from UKG Timekeeping and resolve timecard discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with HR, managers, and finance to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
  • Audit payroll transactions and identify/resolution discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Support payroll reporting and maintain payroll documentation as needed.
  • Provide operational continuity while the organization recruits a permanent Payroll Specialist.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience processing payroll using Meditech Payroll (required).
  • Experience working with UKG Timekeeping (formerly Kronos) for time and attendance management.
  • Healthcare payroll experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, payroll compliance, and payroll reconciliation.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple payroll deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting payroll operations within a hospital or healthcare system.
  • Familiarity with payroll audits, payroll reporting, and payroll tax considerations.
  • Previous experience serving as an interim or contract payroll consultant.
