Position Summary

Our healthcare client in Massachusetts is looking for a Workday Financials Client Side Lead to serve as the primary counterpart to their SI as the client undergoes a Workday transformation project. This individual will own the program delivery, governance, testing, cutover, deployment, and production transition across business, finance, IT, and the SI. They will be responsible for managing both the PM and testing tracks, and carrying the engagement into post-go-live support.

This is a long-term contract opportunity that has the potential to turn into a contract-to-hire position. Some monthly travel will be required for key events, target dates, etc. Candidates in the New England area are preferred!

Project Management & Program Leadership

• Own overall program execution and fulfillment of client obligations
• Build and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, budgets, resource plans, and RAID/status reporting
• Coordinate meetings alongside Accenture's project leads
• Run change control and escalation management
• Drive workstream execution and cross-functional accountability

Testing Leadership & QA

• Define testing strategy, test plans, entry/exit criteria, and defect management
• Manage client-owned unit, functional, smoke, SIT, end-to-end, regression, and UAT activities
• Coordinate test scenarios, scripts, data, participants, schedules, and communications
• Lead defect triage and track remediation to closure
• Report testing metrics (defect severity, execution rates, pass/fail, UAT completion)
• Secure testing sign-off before promotion to production; run dress rehearsals and readiness assessments

Cutover, Go-Live & Production Transition

• Lead cutover strategy and deployment plans
• Build runbooks, rollback/contingency plans, and deployment schedules
• Run mock cutovers and production dress rehearsals
• Coordinate go-live readiness reviews and executive approvals
• Transition ownership to production support via knowledge transfer
• Stand up hyper-care and command-center operations; monitor stabilization and drive post-go-live issue resolution

Requirements

• ERP implementation experience
• Workday Financials implementation experience (required)
• Experience leading SIT and UAT programs
• Proven experience working with system integrators
• Working knowledge of Workday Core Financials (GL, Accounting Center, Revenue & Expense Management, AP, Adaptive Planning, FDM)
• Ability to manage technical workstreams (integrations, data conversion/cutover, reporting)

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification
• Healthcare / physician practice industry experience
