Job Description:

Healthcare IT Leaders is seeking a Contract Management Senior Consultant for a 12-month staff augmentation opportunity. Some travel may be required for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain payer contract terms, fee schedules, and reimbursement rules within the contract management application
• Model expected reimbursement and validate calculated allowables against payer contract language
• Analyze payment variances, underpayments, and denial trends, and recommend corrective action
• Partner with revenue cycle, managed care, and finance stakeholders to translate contract requirements into system build
• Test and validate contract builds through the full testing cycle, documenting results and resolving defects
• Support upgrades, regression testing, and ongoing optimization of contract management functionality
• Develop documentation, workflow guides, and knowledge transfer materials for client staff
• Provide senior-level guidance to analysts and escalation support for complex configuration issues

Requirements:

• Senior-level experience configuring and maintaining healthcare contract management functionality
• Working knowledge of payer contracts, reimbursement methodologies, and expected reimbursement calculation
• Experience in an acute care hospital or health system revenue cycle environment
• Demonstrated ability to analyze payment variances and underpayment reporting
• Proficiency with testing, defect tracking, and build documentation practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication with financial, operational, and technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently on a consulting engagement and manage competing priorities
