One of our South Carolina clients is seeking an Epic HIM Analyst to evaluate and improve its current HIM workflows. This role is focused on operational efficiency, including reducing paper-heavy and manual processes and using Epic to support more streamlined workflows.

Job Details

  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: 3–4 months minimum
  • Location: Open to fully remote candidates; onsite availability during the initial phase is preferred, with the potential to transition to remote support

Responsibilities

  • Review current HIM operational workflows across the hospital
  • Identify inefficiencies within paper-heavy and manual processes
  • Recommend workflow and process improvements using available Epic functionality
  • Support the transition of legacy document and chart-management processes to more efficient digital workflows
  • Partner with HIM leadership, operational staff, end users, and IT teams
  • Document recommendations and support workflow changes through implementation

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on HIM operational experience
  • Experience evaluating and improving HIM workflows and operational efficiency
  • Working knowledge of Epic and how it supports HIM operations
  • Experience with document, chart-management, or medical-record workflows
  • Ability to translate operational needs into practical workflow and system improvements
  • Ability to work onsite during the initial phase of the project

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Gallery experience or certification
  • Gallery build, implementation, go-live, or post-live optimization experience
  • Experience helping healthcare organizations transition from manual or paper-based HIM processes
