Senior Analyst – Contract & Vendor Management (6 month Contract + possible extensions)

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Analyst to oversee contract administration and vendor management across our Information Technology department. This role focuses on reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts for a variety of IT initiatives, services, and software agreements. The ideal candidate will ensure that vendor relationships, Statement of Work (SOW) terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) align with organizational standards, legal compliance, and budgetary goals.

This is a hybrid role, requiring the candidate to be onsite in Ventura, CA, 3 days per week to coordinate directly with IT leadership, legal counsel, procurement teams, and external vendors.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Certifications:

·      Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

·      Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP) are highly preferred.

Experience:

·      7+ years of progressive experience in contract management, legal review, or vendor procurement within an enterprise IT environment.

·      5+ years of direct experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex IT agreements, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

·      Nice to Have: Prior experience managing contracts or SOWs related to major Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms, specifically Oracle Health (Cerner), is preferred but not required.

Technical & Professional Expertise:

·      Contract Administration: Deep knowledge of IT contracting terms, licensing models, risk allocation, intellectual property rights, and commercial law fundamentals.

·      Vendor Oversight: Proven ability to establish performance tracking, monitor vendor KPIs/SLAs, manage renewals, and lead dispute resolution or remediation processes.

·      Financial & Risk Oversight: Strong proficiency in budget tracking, cost negotiation, financial auditing of SOW deliverables, and risk mitigation across contract lifecycles.

Core Competencies:

·      Stakeholder Alignment: Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills to bridge communication between IT leadership, legal, finance, executive sponsors, and vendor representatives.

·      Analytical Precision: High attention to detail in evaluating legal language, deliverable schedules, acceptance criteria, and penalty/incentive clauses.

·      Autonomy & Collaboration: A proactive self-starter capable of managing multiple concurrent contract reviews in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
