Healthcare IT Leaders is hiring a Senior Healthcare AI Scientist for a 6-month contract.

Remote with occasional onsite requirements in Louisiana.

 

We are looking for a Senior Healthcare AI Scientist to lead data science work that improves healthcare outcomes and financial performance. You will build and evaluate predictive models, set technical standards and mentor junior data scientists.

 

What you will do:

  • Lead the design, deployment and evaluation of algorithms and predictive models across multiple business units
  • Apply machine learning techniques and statistical tests to healthcare analytics problems
  • Set best practices for version control, testing and containerization
  • Mentor junior data scientists on methodology and model interpretation
  • Scope projects with business partners and present findings to executive audiences
  • Oversee the data pipeline from acquisition to analytics, including data quality and governance

 

What you bring:

  • 5 years of data science or analytics experience in healthcare is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Advanced Python and SQL, plus TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Experience deploying and monitoring production AI or machine learning solutions
  • Cloud AI platform and MLOps or LLMOps experience
  • Preferred: generative AI, large language model or conversational AI evaluation, including voice agents
