Epic Senior Beacon Builder

Location: Northeast (Some onsite presence required)

Duration: 6–12 Months

Engagement: Contract, with potential for extension or full-time conversion

Position Overview:

Healthcare IT Leaders is seeking an experienced Epic Senior Beacon Builder to support a major healthcare organization in the Northeast. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on Epic Beacon build experience, including multiple full-cycle implementations and a strong understanding of oncology workflows, chemotherapy treatment plans, and infusion processes.

The consultant will support complex Beacon build initiatives within a large, multi-entity health system and collaborate with clinical and technical stakeholders to deliver effective oncology solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform hands-on Epic Beacon application build, configuration, and optimization.
  • Support full-cycle Epic Beacon implementations, from design and requirements gathering through testing, deployment, and go-live.
  • Develop and maintain oncology treatment plans, chemotherapy orders, and infusion workflows.
  • Partner with clinical teams, oncologists, pharmacists, and technical stakeholders to validate workflows and build requirements.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and ensure Beacon functionality aligns with clinical and operational requirements.
  • Support testing, validation, and go-live activities across a complex, multi-entity healthcare environment.

Requirements:

  • Current Epic Beacon certification required.
  • Extensive hands-on Epic Beacon build and configuration experience.
  • Experience participating in multiple full-cycle Epic Beacon implementations.
  • Deep knowledge of oncology treatment plans, chemotherapy ordering, and infusion workflows.
  • Proven experience supporting Epic Beacon builds within a large, multi-entity health system.
  • Ability to work onsite as needed.
