Our healthcare client is seeking a Cerner Charge Services Analyst for a 12+ Month Contract!

Location: Local candidates in NY, NJ, or CT strongly preferred. Remote may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Cerner Charge Services Analyst to support and enhance an existing Cerner Millennium environment while the organization transitions to Epic (anticipated go-live December 2027). This role will focus on hands-on ambulatory charge configuration, revenue cycle support, troubleshooting, and new practice rollouts. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient and comfortable working directly with clinical, Revenue Integrity, Finance, and Patient Accounting teams, as well as an AMS vendor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain ambulatory charge configurations, including charge codes, modifiers, billing groups, and charge triggers.
  • Configure charging for new ambulatory practices and specialties, validating workflows from clinical documentation through charge submission.
  • Investigate and resolve missing, duplicate, and delayed charges, including charge errors and reconciliation.
  • Partner with Revenue Integrity and Finance on CDM updates, compliance changes, and charge capture improvements.
  • Provide hands-on resolution of Cerner Charge Services issues and manage AMS vendor escalations through resolution.
  • Support testing and validation related to system upgrades and regulatory changes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on Cerner Charge Services build and support experience.
  • Strong understanding of ambulatory/professional charging and revenue cycle workflows from charge capture through claims.
  • Experience with Discern rules related to charging and charge reconciliation tools.
  • Experience partnering with Revenue Integrity and Patient Accounting teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a hands-on technical and functional support capacity.
